History
Although not much is known about MacMillan, much can be speculated. He is seen as the hard-working father of Joe Macmillan, who had some sort of fallout before the first episode. Macmillan Sr. works as the head of IBM, or at least an employee of higher status in the company.
Early Life
Season 1
Joe has a layover in Dallas and attempts to meet with his son who stands him up. That evening he meets Cameron whom he attempts to recruit to work at IBM. ("Adventure", S1;E5)
Season 4
Joe reveals to Cameron over the phone that his father passed away during their long conversation ("Signal to Noise", S4;E2)
